100th Homecoming & The Sun...
Today I traveled to Tarboro where I went to our old church to help celebrate their 100th Homecoming Year. I have to say that I am very blessed to be going to a church that I can sit through the whole sermon without wondering what in the world is the preacher talking about! Today I had no idea what the sermon was on because after sitting there for about 2 hours everyone was getting fidgety and we all were hungry. Church started at 10am and we honestly didn't get out of church until 1pm. Olivia was fussy and cranky because she was hungry and so were all the other church goers. Olivia and I left around 1:30 and headed back to my inlaws where she took about an 1 1/2 nap and I took a 20 minute nap. It was nice too just to lay my head down and get a powernap as I call them. After Olivia got up we got ready to leave and said our thank yous and goodbyes and left. It was nice. I then proceeded to go get some gas thinking I was going to have to pay about $2.80 for gas when I drove down to one of the newer gas stations and go gas for $2.63 a gallon! I was so happy too because the line wasn't too long at all either. Sweet!
On the way home the sun was terrible. Olivia kept pulling her hoodie over her face to block the sunlight and the picture below captures her little stunt. It was hard to keep my eyes on the road when you had to look at this in the rearview mirror. for more pictures you can view them here on my Flickr. Overall we had a great day!
