Photography & a Camera
So lately I have been really thinking of starting up a photography business. It's something that I have always loved doing in taking pictures but am not sure of how to get it started. I will be starting out using my Kodak camera until I can get another one like a Nikon D60 or something of that nature. Yes I want a Digital SLR Camera. I don't think that should be too hard. I've also been doing some editing to a few pictures that I have taken with my camera and have come up with a few items to maybe put in a portfolio. But I have a question for those of you who might know what to do. How did you come up with your prices and what kind of editing program do you use for your photography? Please help me out for this is my calling and my passion. I might only be able to do it in the evenings or on Weekends but it's something to try for. Thanks for all of your help!
Hey there!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about pricing but if you need two very cute models I would love to get some pictures of Lydia and Elijah. She will be 6 months in about 6 weeks and I want to get his 2 year and her 6 month pics done. I know a lot of photographers build up their portfolio by taking pictures and not charging a sitting fee and only charging $25 for the CD of edited pics. Then the mom can pay to print whatever they want. I know in Greenville there is someone that I took EJ to and this is what she did. Also, a lot of individual places charge a sitting fee ($75 or so) then they will give you a CD with your 5 favorite poses or something on it so that you can have them printed. IT makes it easier on you.
Just an idea,
