Baking a Cake? How hard can it Be?

My parents 32nd Wedding Anniversary is coming up in two weeks and so I thought as a nice present that is made from the heart and not with the money is to bake them a homemade cake. Now I won't be going all homemade..I'll be using a cake mix but for me to decorate the cake and all is going to be sweet. I just need to figure out if I want to use fondant or not. I'm thinking about baking a cake this weekend and making it the tester cake so that if I want to use fondant than I can. I'm so excited too! Baking is my deep down secret job I want so we'll see how that goes. :) I think I'm going to do Marshmallow Fondant too. So it looks like tomorrow evening I'm going to go pick up everything I need from Walmart and then head on back home and bake a cake. I'll probably make this one as a "Memorial Day" cake. :)
