I learned how to...

I know its been a while since I have updated this blog but I have been busy in life. School for me and Jason has started and we have a lot of work to do for the classes but it's been crazy busy. I'm still loving school and I have noticed that the classes are not cut and dry. There is a lot of reading material to do and lots of work but the classes are only 8 weeks long instead of the normal 16 weeks. I'm loving this too. Then Olivia has gotten her school report card and did an awesome job. She also just got her progress report and one thing we have noticed is that her math grade is falling again. I have talked to the school and they don't seem to be worried about this problem. I have a big issue when her grade started off at an 82 and now it's a low 75. And the school isn't worried and isn't willing to truly help. Ugh. I only wish that it was as simple to review her grades. Then as for me on top of school and running the household I decided to take up the art of crocheting. I learned how to crochet and I'm loving it! Jason is happy that I'm doing something other than playing online all the time, and the house is clean most of the time and well it just seems to be working out for me and our little family.

Oh and on another note, I had a job interview this past Wednesday and while I didn't get offered the job it still made me feel good about myself. I would have loved the opportunity to work with that company but after reviewing more about the company I learned that it was a very tough job to take and would mean that I wouldn't get home from work until 9pm or so after working about 13 hours. Not worth it to me to lose out on watching Olivia grow up. I feel that getting paid about $.50 more than what I was making in Rocky Mount at my job I had for 3 years is not worth it to me. Yes it's a job and I will take a job until I have another lined up but working my butt off and not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel and putting in 12+ hours a day is not worth it to me.

Anyways, last weekend we had snow and since we weren't here to enjoy it we did get to enjoy it at my parents house. Another thing Jason and I have been talking about is homeschooling Olivia next year. It will help save on gas money and money we have to fork out for school. Plus it will give us the opportunity to take her education into our hands. It's something we have been talking about for a while and we both want her to have a Christian based education but can't seem to afford the private schools around here. I think for Olivia it will be a challenge for her but she's looking for a challenge that she's not given at school now. Something we are definitely thinking and praying about. Our neighbor homeschool's their kids and they are doing great. I'm looking forward to the adventures that we could have and the chance to help Olivia grow into her own self.
