Yesterday my granddad had his surgery and it went good. He had an Angioplasty and also had a defibullator put into his chest. He seems to be doing good right now and that's a good sign. Thank goodness!! My dad stayed with him last night to let my grandmother come home and rest. She is 87 years old and she gets very tired and exhausted easily. I would too at her age!!! I have to say that the doctors have done everything that they possibly can do and it's all in God's Hands now! So just continue to pray for my granddad.
Last night at home after I picked up Livy from daycare, I fixed her dinner of chicken nuggets and I had my leftovers from the other night of chicken crispers and a cob of corn. It was very good too. We also sat down and watched the movie Cars since I hadn't seen it all the way through and I have to say it was very good. Then instead of watching more movies we sat down and played some games that Livy got for Christmas. And of course I let her win the first time on Chutes and Ladders because she didn't understand the point of the game but the second time she played the right way and I lost again. Oh well, we then went on to playing Candy Land and again she won both times we played. That game she enjoyed a lot more because she knew her colors. Then for the final game we played it was "Don't Spill the Beans" a favorite game of my sisters when she was younger and Livy really enjoyed this game. She loved the way that it was a balancing game and when it was just about to tip over she would say "whooooaaaa!!" Too Cute I would say. It was fun watching her play these games and once again tonight it'll be the same thing. Only I think we might do without the TV. I think she enjoys not watching TV once in a while and getting back to the basics of life. I do too. Before bed we read three books. I was at first only expecting to read one book she got for Christmas but she insisted that we read the Tiny Turtle Book and Blue Train, Green Train (which she helped read both of these books). Good Job Sweetie! Maybe we're on to something now! Yes!!! We'll continue to work on reading too.
Last night I had a hard time sleeping. It was freezing inside the house when I woke up only to find that Terry forgot to tell me he had the AC on instead of the Heat. Duh! I guess tonight before we go to bed I'll check the guage just in case he switched it over. I just couldn't get comfortable at all last night. I think it's just about time for a new bed. The mattress is over 15 years old and the frame itself is over 20 years old. Yup its time for a new one. We'll keep our eyes out on Craigslist to see if we find anything and if not then we'll wait for our tax return to come back. Tonight we're going into Rocky Mount so that I can go to walmart. Oh Boy!!! Maybe I can find a couple things there that I need or want. If not I'll have to see what I can do to go to Raleigh this weekend. We'll see though. Well I better get going it's time to get to calling a few people for work.
